Latin Scenario Article - May 2015

Latin Scenario Association is extremely excited and honored to invite you to our theatrical series “Spanish Theatre with English Subtitles”. Our program will consist of two Latin-American plays divided into 3 performances each. The two plays are Peter & the Captain by Mario Benedetti from Uruguay & Two Scented Rose by Emilio Carballido from Mexico.

Peter & the Captain, a psychological interaction between a militia man and a rebel who is being interrogated and tortured. Pedro's resistance to talk proves stronger than his captor's abuse. Who will break in the end? Show Dates: May 26, 29 & 31 at 7:30 pm

Two Scented Rose is a comedy of two women meeting by chance. They have nothing in common... except for the same man. Join Marlene and Gabriela in this comedic and charming story about love, friendship and rum! Show Dates: May 27, 28 & 30 at 7:30 pm

Nosotros los miembros de Latin Scenario Association, estamos muy entusiasmados y tenemos el honor de invitarlos a nuestra serie teatral “Spanish Theatre with English Subtitles”. Nuestro programa consta de dos obras Latino-Americanas divididas en tres funciones cada una. Las obras teatrales son Pedro & El Capitán escrita por el dramaturgo Uruguayo Mario Benedetti y Rosa de Dos Aromas escrita por el dramaturgo Mexicano Emilio Carballido.

Pedro & El Capitán trata de la interacción psicológica entre un militar y un rebelde quien es interrogado y torturado. La resistencia de Pedro prueba ser más fuerte que la de su secuestrador. ¿Quién cederá al final? Presentaciones: Mayo 26, 29 & 31 at 7:30 pm

Rosa de Dos Aromas es una comedia de dos mujeres que se unen mediante el destino. No tienen nada en común… excepto el mismo hombre. ¡Acompañen a Marlene y Gabriela en esta cómica y simpática historia de amor, amistad y mucho ron! Presentaciones: Mayo 27, 28 & 30 at 7:30 pm
